"Watermark"

The Russell Gallery - London

1st - 24th June 2017

From my new studio, a new pool of inspiration has opened up.  Fingers of land overlook the River Tamar, enchanting scenes appear to engulf the wanderer ...old fields scattered with poppies, dancing butterflies, lofty Camellia forests, dragonflies that hover upon dark pools, carpets of bluebells in moss-covered woods, frogs spawn below giant clam shells.

Capturing the gentle essence of this place using paint is akin to lassoing a rainbow. Melted forms and colours are choreographed using alchemical processes, mimicking fluid and free elemental forces that bring a place to life, throughout the constantly changing seasons.
